Postal address:

Avenue FD Roosevelt 50, B-1050 Bruxelles
PhD Candidate and Teaching Assistant in the Master's programme en Sciences et Gestion du tourisme (which combines tourism analysis and management), Roxane studies the evolution of tourists' mobility practices through their life courses, with a particular focus on how environmental awareness may – or may not – lead to changes in mobility practices.
At the intersection of sociology and tourism studies, Roxane's research adopts a biographical approach to understand logics behind tourism mobilities and the potential changes that occur through individual life trajectories. She is also taking part in the FamEnv project (Les familles face à la question environnementale. Adaptations et résistances dans les pratiques quotidiennes – https://anr.fr/Projet-ANR-24-CE41-5871), funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR). The aim of this project is to understand the environmental dimension of everyday practices and how they are interconnected across different areas of family life – such as food, housing, transportation,… Roxane mainly works on the « tourism an leisure » thematic. Before focusing her research on this topic, she briefly worked on the Cap-SMART project, funded by Innoviris, which examined digitalization in the Brussels tourism sector.
In addition to her research activities, Roxane is a teaching assistant in the Master’s programme in Tourism Sciences and Management. Her teaching responsibilities primarily focus on research methodology courses. She also supervises students throughout the writing of their Master’s thesis, including one-on-one guidance and the organisation of thesis submissions and vivas.
