Our research projects

Our research is supported by a range of funding bodies, including governmental agencies and both public and private tourism organizations at the national, European, and international levels. The team brings together researchers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds—tourism studies, hospitality management, the social sciences, history, archaeology, and economics—enabling a rich, interdisciplinary approach.

As a result, our research topics are broad and varied, contributing to a comprehensive and critical understanding of tourism as a multifaceted social, cultural, economic, and spatial phenomenon.

   ♦ Gender issues in tourism

   ♦ Transformations in tourism systems

   ♦ Tourism and biodiversity preservation
